Friday will be a practice day using the entire BIR track. You will need to be NCCC high speed certified or have other verifiable driver school or other racing experience to participate. If in doubt, contact the event Chairperson. This day will allow you to have approximately two hours of track time. This is far more than any other event in the country offers. After the practice sessions are completed, it is time for Track Touring. After we’ve shut the track down for the day there is one of the famous Trackside parties to allow everyone to visit with old friends and meet new ones, do some bench racing and hear some of the tales from past years of racing at BIR.

What’s “Track Touring” you ask. It’s a chance for anyone 18 and over to drive the entire track. You can use any vehicle for this. A maximum speed of 65 mph will be allowed, no passing and helmets are not required except for motorcycle riders. Several pace cars will be on the track so that the speed is not exceeded. You get a half hour on the track and get a little feel for what driving the track at speed is like.

Saturday will have SEVEN NCCC sanctioned low speed events, shine or rain. It is held on the “twisty” part of BIR, utilizing seven of the ten corners plus some gates and a slalom thrown in to add to the excitement.
Drags start at 1:00pm (drivers meeting for the drags is at 12:00pm sharp, if not at morning meeting). (APPROVED HELMETS REQUIRED). You will receive results for reaction time, 60ft., 330ft., 1/8 mile, 1000ft. & 1/4 mile times & speed. Now is your chance to see if you can beat a new C6, Z06, a “stock” C4 or that Viper that always shows up, or your tow vehicle can beat someone else’s. When all the NCCC events are completed for the day we will present trophies for the low speed events.

Sunday will have SEVEN NCCC sanctioned high speed events using the entire track. You must be NCCC High Speed Certified or have verifiable driver school or other racing experience to participate. If in doubt contact the event Chairmen. Trophies will be presented immediately after the events and tabulation is completed. If time permits there will be some open track time for qualified drivers between the completion of the sanctioned events and trophy presentations. After trophy presentations the track is closed.

Corner workers will be needed for both Saturday and Sunday. These events cannot take place without them. It is an excellent place to see how drivers negotiate the corners and you can learn a lot by just watching. We will need your help. Run groups will be assigned specific times to work corners or just go out and help whenever you want. You will get all your runs in when you work a corner.

Clothing for drivers: NO shorts, NO Tank tops, Tie shoes.

There will be a limit of 100 drivers for each NCCC sanctioned autocross & for the Drag Racing. Get your registration in by May 1, 2008, to receive a $40 discount for the three day package. Only one driver per entry form. There are driver registration forms and spectator forms on our web site, please make copies as needed.

There will be no refunds for weather or not passing tech inspection. It is your responsibility to have your car and equipment ready to run when you arrive. If you believe you should receive a refund, please submit it in writing.

All refunds will be subject to a $50 administrative fee up to 30 days before the events. A 50% fee will be charged 30 to 5 days before the events. No refunds after 5 days before the events.
